Mission
Commuter and Non-Traditional Student Programs (CNTSP) provides a comprehensive set of programs and services for our commuting students that enhances their educational experience and supports their retention and success at the University of Maine. Our programs and services assist commuter and non-traditional students to connect with the UMaine community and successfully pursue their academic goals. The CNTSP office is committed to fostering a university climate that includes and integrates commuter and non-traditional students. This office collaborates with other university departments and local towns to raise awareness of the specific needs and concerns of these student populations. CNTSP is a unit within the Division of Student Life, and is based in the Commuter Lounge, which is located in the Wade Center (Room #150) on the ground floor of the Memorial Union.

Mission
LiveWell is a volunteer-based peer mentoring program designed to pair Black Bears with fellow Black Bears to achieve better health in all 8 dimensions of wellness. Mentors meet with their mentees only once per month at a minimum (or more if desired). Mentors can help with questions about Nutrition, Time Management, Interpersonal Relationships, Setting SMART Goals, Stress management, and more.

Mission
The University of Maine Student Government Inc. (UMSG) is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Corporation built with the intention of improving student life here on campus. UMSG is a distinct entity from the University of Maine, but maintains a special cooperative relationship as a direct-funded organization. With a yearly budget of roughly $750,000 assessed by the undergraduate activity fee, this organization works tirelessly to use that money on behalf of students in a manner consistent with or organizing principles, and any professional non-profit. Money is allocated every week back to the over 200 clubs and organizations on campus recognized by UMSG. Beyond the allocation of money to clubs and organizations, this budget also covers the expenses to host concerts or events at reduced cost to the undergraduate students. UMSG also manages professional legal and risk management assistance for students and clubs.
