We promote the importance of honeybees through various activities and educational outreach programs. Members may be granted opportunities to visit beekeeping locations, to hear talks from experts in the field, and to start and maintain colonies of our own in order to further our appreciation and knowledge of honeybees and beekeeping.

Umaine Car Club provides a space for automotive enthusiasts of all shapes and forms to gather, learn and talk about cars. UMCC is open to all students, regardless of their knowledge of cars, as long as you have a passion for the automotive world. The club provides a location to meet once a week, access to references in the automotive world and tools/knowledge for development in progressive learning about cars. The club leads two trips to Acadia National Park – one in each semester spring and fall – offering incredible sites and photography opportunities. UMCC works with Cumberland Automotive Club to participate in Autocross events all over the state of Maine, an awesome experience and fantastic safe way to test yourself and your car.

The Game Developers Guild would be a collection of artists, music makers, programmers, and writers, all interested in creating video games or just wanting to have a safe space to work on their passion projects while socializing with others. We would be offering a relaxed environment where students can feel like their skills that may otherwise go neglected, are appreciated and can see how their skills can intermix with other peoples talents. This could happen as our club may participate in game jams, where all of our skills would be put to use to create a video game in a certain time period and submitted to an online contest to be compared against other video games.

Her Campus is the #1 online newsmagazine written by and for collegiate women. The UMaine chapter was founded in 2010, making it one of the first national chapters. Our members are expected to write articles at least once a semester across our seven topic areas: Style, Beauty, Wellness, Sex and Relationships, Money and Career, Culture, and Decor. We also offer the unique opportunity of being published on a national platform while still attending college! The Horticulture Club is an inclusive club that aims to educate community members about plants and to participate in creative plant related activities. Such activities and workshops include plant propagation, landscaping opportunities on campus, plant pressing and plant identification. In past years we have travelled to botanical gardens around Maine and participated in the Maine Flower Show.

Horticulture Club membership includes learning about aspects of horticulture and useful techniques, going on occasional field-trips, and getting to take home plant related goods such as plant cuttings, non-toxic houseplant pesticide, moss poles, etc.

The purposes of this organization are: to operate an educational center at the Terrell House Permaculture Living and Learning Center, providing demonstrations and experimentation in alternative living; to promote the growth and recognition of permaculture principles as a means of sustainable agriculture; to foster shared growth in the Terrell House garden and the community.

Members learn skills related to gardening and permaculture. These range from weed identification and fruit/vegetable cultivation to fermentation and preservation activities. We also do education on issues relating to permaculture and the intersection of society and the environment.

Drill team is responsible for at least half the horse chores at the University of Maine Witter Farm. Drill team has the opportunity to ride the horses at the farm, and to help aid in their training so they can be rehomed. The group offers training sessions (riding lessons), and a chance to perform a drill routine during the spring semester.
